#ValenciaGP - November 22, 2023

It all comes down to Valencia! The MotoGP™ World Championship will see its 2023 king being crowned this weekend as the curtain will go down on Sunday at the circuit Ricardo Tormo which will host, as every year, the season finale. Augusto Fernandez will race for the last time as a rookie after a strong first year in the main class highlighted by his fourth place at the French Grand Prix back in May. On the other side, Pol Espargaro’s adventure with the GASGAS Factory Racing Tech3 will come to an end after a challenging year which saw him come back from hell after his heavy injury sustained at the opening round in March. Since his return to racing at the British Grand Prix, the Spaniard’s half season was highlighted with a brilliant P6 in the Tissot Sprint in what was only his second weekend back, in Austria.

2023 MotoGP™ rookie of the year Augusto Fernandez will be calling the Gran Premio de la Comunitat de Valenciana his home round as the Mallorcan will look to finish his rookie season on a high note. Qualifying performances and pace have significantly improved lately for the GASGAS Tech3 rider, but the results still have not quite come yet, so the Spaniard will be looking to make it happen this weekend in front of family, friends and fans as an intense 2023 draws to an end. Pol Espargro will race for the last time this weekend with the GASGAS Factory Racing Tech3 family, as he is set to step up to another role within the Pierer Mobility group in 2024. The Spaniard will look to make the most of this last round together with his team, family and friends, as he targets a good result on Spanish lands, in milder conditions than the ones we have been used to during the oversea tour.

After six rounds across Asia and Australia, we are back for one last dance in Europe, so following the title showdown will be easier for you if you are watching us from Europe. One last time this year, MotoGP™ will start roaring on Friday with Free Practice 1 at 10:45 (GMT+1), followed by Practice in the afternoon at 15:00 for one hour. The last qualifying shootout of the season will begin on Saturday at 10:50, shortly after Free Practice 2 at 10:10 local time. Augusto Fernandez and Pol Espargaro will sprint for one last time at 15:00 for thirteen laps. The main race of the Valencia Grand Prix is scheduled on Sunday at 15:00 local time (GMT+1).

"Valencia is the closest race to my home in Palma de Mallorca, so this is my home GP, and I am super excited to finish my rookie season in front of my family and friends who will come and support me. We are coming from Qatar with a good speed, I really feel that we are close to getting a good result, so we will give our best to try to finish the season with a strong result at home.”

"I am looking forward to going to Valencia. This is a place where I have very good memories, and I know that I will have family, friends and fans who will come to support both the team and myself. All I want is to enjoy this last round as it is set to be the last one of my active career, so I really want to take it all in, have fun with my team, and make this one memorable."

Team Manager
"Here comes the most expected moment of the season, the final round of the 2023 MotoGP World Championship season, as we are finally going to find out at the Gran Premio de la Comunitat de Valenciana who will win the most wanted trophy of two-wheels racing. In the GASGAS Factory Racing Tech3, we will try to bring a happy conclusion to this eventful season. Augusto Fernandez has shown constant improvement all through this season, which was highlighted by his P4 in Le Mans, but we are still chasing a referent race in this second half of the season. Valencia could be the place for it after he was on the podium last season, and it was also here that he got his first taste of MotoGP on the GASGAS RC16. All conditions are reunited to perform well this weekend. On the other side, Pol Espargaro will be looking to finish his GASGAS adventure on a high performance, after he failed to score many points recently. We know that he is struggling with the bike, and his physical condition is not at its 100%, but Valencia is a short left hand sided circuit, and fresh conditions of November could  help him finish his season with us on a high. Bring on the show for the final round of this 2023 season!"
