The MotoGP paddock was back racing in Malaysia for the first time in three years today in front of a crowded Sepang International Circuit. Tech3 KTM Factory Racing’s riders Raul Fernandez and Remy Gardner were starting the nineteenth round of the season from P20 and P22.
No rain today at the Sepang International Circuit for the penultimate qualifying day of the season which saw Remy Gardner and Raul Fernandez dispute a stacked qualifying 1 session. Tech3 KTM Factory Racing’s riders will line up in twentieth and twenty-second for the Grand Prix of Malaysia.
The Malaysian party started on Friday for Tech3 KTM Factory Racing, and the rain invited itself again, a guest the MotoGP class has become accustomed to lately. Remy Gardner and Raul Fernandez were returning to the Sepang International Circuit for the first time since the winter test, this time with a MotoGP season in the bag. While the morning was dry, but very hot, the afternoon session was delayed due to a heavy tropical rain which saw the FP2 start with more than one hour delay.
