The Red Bull KTM Tech3 team faced a challenging sixth round of the 2020 MotoGP World Championship at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli today. Launching off from P12, Miguel Oliveira lost some positions in the beginning to cross the line in 15th at the end of the opening lap. Step by step he found his rhythm, picked his way through and managed to pass some of his contenders to be in P12 around halfway stage of the race. Towards the end, he made up another position to eventually see the flag in 11th.
Red Bull KTM Tech3’s Miguel Oliveira grit his teeth today at the newly surfaced Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli to secure a fourth row start for the Gran Premio di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini. The recent race winner managed to lower his pace from FP1 to Q1 by 2.433 seconds. With a 1:32.212 he clinched second in Qualifying one, which made him pass through to Q2. Later on, he couldn’t improve on that and finished in P12.
Red Bull KTM Tech3’s Iker Lecuona performed strong in today’s opening day of the Gran Premio di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini. Following a rather steady FP1, the premier class rookie improved by impressive 1.878 seconds in the second session of the day to seize a fantastic fifth position in the overall standings of the MotoGP World Championship.
