Red Bull KTM Tech3’s Miguel Oliveira delivered a stunning performance in today’s Japan Grand Prix to finish 12th. The Portuguese MotoGP rookie found himself in P18 after the first lap, but developed a strong pace throughout the 24 laps race, being already well placed inside the points scoring positions at halftime and made up even more ground to eventually see the chequered flag in P12.
Saturday at the Twin Ring Motegi was marked by changing weather conditions. While FP3 for MotoGP this morning has been full wet, the track was drying during FP4 and the Red Bull KTM Tech3 duo as well as the rest of the field went out on slicks for Qualifying this afternoon.
Miguel Oliveira got his first taste of the Twin Ring Motegi today aboard his KTM RC16. Following a decent start in FP1, he suffered a crash in the second session of the day, but luckily managed to go back on track again, plus lowered on his lap time from this morning to conclude Friday 1.079 seconds behind the top 10.
