The Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli welcomed riders and teams with sunny and dry weather conditions on Saturday. Thereby, both Iker Lecuona and Danilo Petrucci lowered their lap times quite significantly compared to Friday, but will have to start the Gran Premio di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini from the seventh and the eighth row of the grid tomorrow at 14:00 local time.
Unsteady weather conditions accompanied the opening day of the Gran Premio di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini. Following a dry start in FP1, it started to rain in the second third of the session, while FP2 on Friday afternoon was completely wet. Thereby both Tech3 KTM Factory Racing riders showed their special talent with strong lap times, although Iker Lecuona’s second session ended early.
Just a few days after a very strong race by Iker Lecuona at the MotorLand Aragón circuit, the Spanish youngster is already impatiently waiting to arrive at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli this weekend in order to begin round 14 of the 2021 MotoGP World Championship season. Thereby, Lecuona aims to pick up where he left off, gradually improving and finding his way towards the top of the premier class field.
